No. By the time eviction matters are sent to our office the landlord is no longer legally obligated to take the tenant's money. Rather, the landlord is free to insist that possession of the property be surrendered. Consequently, as the landlord's attorney, we never take money or promise that a landlord will take money.
Additionally, we rarely have up-to-date information of the total current balance owed and, therefore, can't tell you how much money is owed. If you want to try to pay the past due amount and retain possession of the rented property, you must conduct those negotiations directly with the landlord.
